Summary

SocialClipSaver is a video-saving utility. We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Downloads stay on your device. This page explains what limited data is processed, why, and your rights.

Data we collect

Information you provide

• None. We don't have user accounts.
• URLs you paste into the app are sent to the relevant social platform's public servers to resolve a downloadable media URL. They are not retained by us.

Information collected automatically

• Anonymous crash reports and basic device info (model, Android version, app version) may be sent to Google Firebase / Crashlytics solely to debug crashes. No identifiers are linked to you.
• Advertising identifier (AAID) is used by Google AdMob to serve ads. You can reset or limit this from your device's privacy settings.

Permissions we request

• Storage / Media — to save downloaded videos to your gallery.
• Internet — to fetch the video from the source platform.
• Notifications — to inform you when a background download finishes (optional).
• Clipboard — only when you explicitly enable "Auto-detect copied links" in Settings. Disabled by default.

Advertising on this website

SocialClipSaver displays third-party advertising from Google AdSense to keep the service free. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by the Google Ads Policy.

How we use data

• To deliver the core function: resolve a paste link → save the media file → store it on your device.
• To show ads (Google AdMob in the app, Google AdSense on the website) and keep the service free.
• To diagnose crashes and improve stability.

Sharing

We do not share user data with third parties except:

• Google AdMob — for ad serving (per Google's ad policies).
• Google Firebase / Crashlytics — for crash diagnostics (anonymous).

Children's privacy

SocialClipSaver is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us so we can delete any record.

Your choices

• Disable clipboard auto-detect at any time in Settings → Preferences.
• Reset or limit ad personalisation in your device privacy settings.
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data.

Retention

We do not store user data on our servers. Anonymous crash reports are kept by Google for up to 90 days per their default settings.

International transfers

Our analytics and ad providers operate globally. By using the app you agree that data may be processed in jurisdictions where Google operates.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when material changes occur. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
